Terms & Conditions
1. Membership & Access
Membership provides access to The Coworking Club and its facilities in accordance with the membership type selected.
Access hours, desk availability and member benefits may vary depending on the membership purchased.
Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the registered member.
2. Membership Payments
Membership fees are payable in advance and will automatically renew, depending on membership type, unless cancelled in accordance with these terms.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of access until payment has been received.
All pricing is inclusive of GST where applicable.
3. Cancellations
Members may cancel their membership with 14 days written notice.
No refunds will be provided for unused membership periods, missed bookings or changes in personal circumstances.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to cancel or suspend memberships where these terms have been breached.
4. Day Passes & Casual Bookings
Day passes and casual bookings are non-refundable unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
Bookings may be transferred to another date at the discretion of The Coworking Club.
5. Meeting Room Bookings
Meeting rooms must be booked in advance.
Members are responsible for ensuring meeting rooms are left clean and tidy after use.
Additional charges may apply where a room is damaged, excessively dirty or used beyond the booked period.
6. Respectful Community Behaviour
The Coworking Club exists to provide a professional, inclusive and welcoming environment.
Members agree to:
- Treat others with respect.
- Maintain professional conduct.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination or bullying.
- Respect shared facilities and equipment.
- Follow reasonable directions from staff.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where behaviour negatively impacts other members.
7. Noise & Shared Space Etiquette
Members must be mindful of noise levels within shared working areas.
Calls should be taken in designated areas where possible.
Music, videos or meetings should not disrupt other members.
8. Guests
Guests may only enter the space with prior approval or through an approved meeting room booking.
Members are responsible for the conduct of any guests they bring into the space.
9. Property & Personal Belongings
Members are responsible for their own equipment, belongings and valuables.
The Coworking Club accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
10. Internet & Technology
Internet access is provided as a convenience.
The Coworking Club does not guarantee uninterrupted internet access and is not liable for any loss arising from outages, interruptions or technical issues.
Members must not engage in unlawful, harmful or inappropriate online activity while using the space.
11. Health & Safety
Members agree to comply with all health and safety requirements while using the premises.
Any hazards, incidents or injuries should be reported immediately.
Members use the premises at their own risk.
12. Photography & Marketing
From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken within the space for marketing purposes.
Members who do not wish to appear in promotional content should notify The Coworking Club in writing.
13. Damage to Property
Members may be held responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their guests or their equipment.
Costs associated with repairs or replacement may be charged to the member.
14. Changes to Services
The Coworking Club may update facilities, services, operating hours, membership inclusions or pricing from time to time.
Reasonable notice will be provided where practical.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Coworking Club is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the space, facilities, services or events.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
16. Community Events
Members may be invited to attend networking, educational or community events.
Participation is voluntary and attendees participate at their own risk.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a membership, day pass or booking, members agree to these Terms & Conditions.
18. Desk Allocation
Memberships provide access to available desks within the membership category purchased.
Unless expressly stated as a dedicated desk membership, members do not have exclusive use or ownership of any particular desk, workspace or seating location.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to reallocate desks and workspace areas as required.
19. Business Address Usage
Membership does not grant members the right to use The Coworking Club's address as a registered business address, mailing address, virtual office address or company headquarters without prior written approval.
Any approved use of the address may be subject to additional fees and separate terms.
20. Confidentiality & Privacy
The Coworking Club is a shared working environment where members may be exposed to confidential, commercial or proprietary information.
Members agree to:
- Respect the confidentiality of conversations and information they may overhear or encounter.
- Not intentionally access, share, distribute or misuse another member's information.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect their own confidential information while using the space.
The Coworking Club is not responsible for the protection of confidential information shared within common areas.
21. Community Conduct & Solicitation
The Coworking Club is designed to foster genuine relationships, collaboration and community.
Members must not:
- Engage in aggressive sales tactics.
- Harass, pressure or repeatedly solicit other members.
- Collect member information for unsolicited marketing purposes.
- Conduct activities that negatively impact the community experience.
Business conversations, networking and collaboration are encouraged; however, members are expected to prioritise relationship-building over direct selling.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate solicitation.
22. Meeting Room Cancellation Policy
Meeting room bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge up to 24 hours prior to the booking start time.
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time may be charged in full.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to waive cancellation fees at its discretion.
23. Guest Policy
Members may bring guests into the space only where permitted under their membership or booking type.
Guests must comply with all Coworking Club policies and terms.
Members remain responsible for the behaviour, conduct and any damage caused by their guests.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to limit guest access or refuse entry where appropriate.
25. Security & Access
Members are responsible for:
- Keeping access codes, keys or entry credentials secure.
- Ensuring unauthorised individuals do not enter the premises using their credentials.
- Reporting lost or compromised access credentials immediately.
Members may be charged for replacement access devices or security breaches caused by misuse.
Members acknowledge there is a video security system in place to ensure the safety and security of all members using the space.
26. Prohibited Activities
Members must not use the premises for:
- Any unlawful purpose.
- Activities that may damage the reputation of The Coworking Club.
- Storage of hazardous, dangerous or illegal materials.
- Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour.
- Activities that interfere with the safety, wellbeing or productivity of other members.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to immediately suspend access where prohibited activities occur.
27. Damage, Cleaning & Additional Charges
Members agree to leave all desks, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and shared spaces in a clean and tidy condition.
The Coworking Club reserves the right to charge members for:
- Repair of damaged property.
- Replacement of missing equipment.
- Excessive cleaning requirements.
- Costs incurred as a result of misuse of facilities.
28. Community First Policy ("Don't Be a Dick")
The Coworking Club exists to create a supportive, welcoming and collaborative community.
We believe people do their best work when surrounded by good humans.
As such, members agree to act with kindness, professionalism and respect toward fellow members, guests and staff.
If a member's behaviour consistently damages the culture, safety or enjoyment of the community, The Coworking Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate their membership without refund.
In simple terms:
Don't be a dick.
Life is too short, and we're committed to protecting the community we've built.
29. Right to Refuse or Terminate Membership
The Coworking Club reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate memberships where:
- Membership fees remain unpaid.
- These Terms & Conditions have been breached.
- A member's behaviour negatively impacts the community.
- Safety, legal or operational concerns arise.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided; however, immediate termination may occur in serious circumstances.
30. Changes to Terms & Conditions
The Coworking Club reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Updated terms will be made available to members and will take effect from the date published.
Continued use of the space constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
